Added unique advantage for Editors of our Journals

Our approach to research articles is unique from traditional journals. We at JOR consider manuscripts that have been denied publication from quality journals after the authors have undertaken revisions following “Revise and Resubmit” decisions from these journals. We believe that manuscripts that receive R&R decisions possess substantial contributions that can be cultivated to benefit the literature, without the authors having to restart the submission process from scratch. Thus, the Journal of Resubmissions family (editors and reviewers) takes a "helping" rather than a "judge" role to enable authors to build on the positives of their manuscripts. Accordingly, based on the associated reviews of submitted manuscripts, the significance of contributions, and the magnitude of the required revisions, the EIC can select, to:

  • Work with the author(s) to edit and revise the manuscript to enhance its contributions and suggest publication without going for external review. In case of such a decision to help the author with editing and revision, the publication decision will be made by fellow EIC and or Editors.
  • Assign the manuscript to the Editor(s) who will then decide whether to work with the author(s) in editing and revising the article (in which case, the publication decision is made by the EIC), or send the manuscript for external review.
  • Directly send the manuscript for external review.
